Waffle Day

 

While Swedes enjoy waffles year-round, they are especially popular on March 25, which is known as Våffeldagan, or Waffle Day. Family and friends celebrate the day enjoying Swedish waffles. Thinner than Belgian waffles, they are made in a special waffle iron that makes the heart-shaped. Typically Swedes enjoy them with whipped cream and berries.
