About Us

The roots of the Swedish club can be traced back to the early '70s when a small group of Swedish expats came together to make Christmas crafts and keep up their Swedish. The group soon began talking about forming a club, and the Swedish Society of Calgary (SSC) was founded in 1974. The vision of the SSC is to foster and promote Swedish culture, heritage, and language through education and social engagement.
